In The Meantime…

April 4th, 2014

I always let a first draft “rest” for a couple weeks before I go back and start revising (also known as tearing it apart and putting it back together). I’ve decided to spend that time working on a short story. It will be set in the same fictional world as BLOOD AND IRON, to take place in the time period between books 1 and 2. Don’t have a title yet, but I have the main plot worked out.

Hint: it takes place in the town of Omikur, for those who have read the first book already.

Short Stories

December 13th, 2013

I took a little trip down memory lane today and realized I have 7 published short stories. That isn’t a lot compared to many writers. However, I’ve only written ten short stories aimed at publication in my lifetime. So, I’m batting .700 — not too shabby for a guy who really doesn’t spend much time on the short form.

And I have to tip my hat to Will Horner, editor-in-chief at Fantasist Enterprises, who gave me my first break. (He’s also my webmaster and a hell of a guy.)
