Sequel Update

March 29th, 2014

Getting through the last act of this manuscript, and I keep discovering that I need to add new scenes to make the story work. Nothing major, just tying off loose ends (or continuing them into the next book) and making sure all the characters get some semblence of closure before I drop the final curtain.

Also, I haven’t seen any concepts about the cover art for Book 2, but I’m looking forward to it!

Manuscript Turmoil

February 1st, 2014

Hey gang,

I almost had a heart attack this week (not literally). I woke up with the realization that my manuscript had a glaring logic hole and then spent a couple days frantically trying to patch it. Happily, though, a solution came to me. The best part is that the resulting new scenes add (I hope) a lot of energy to the middle of the book. So, win-win.

With some luck , I hope to hit the 100k-word mark by the end of next week. I’m guessing the first draft will then be about half done, maybe a bit more.

Finished

August 6th, 2010

I just turned in the manuscript for Shadow’s Lure to my agent today. I’m sure he’ll have some things to say about it, and I have a couple sections I want to polish a bit more, but for all intents it is done.

Then again, “done” only means it is ready for several rounds of editing by the publisher…
