In Stores Now

It’s been a year since I signed the contract with Pyr Books. Now, as the first copies of Shadow’s Son are hitting bookshelves across the country, the feelings are indescribable (not a good state for a writer, I know). The only thing I can compare it to is the birth of our son: you’re happier than you’ve ever been, and at the same time scared out of your mind. Maybe the best news is that two years from now the book isn’t going to be running around the house, destroying everything it can reach.

Just a quick correction. The book hasn’t reached all locations yet. If your local bookstore doesn’t have it, feel free to request it!

    Thank you, hun. 🙂

    Here’s my “reviewer-y review” for Jon’s blog:

“Shadow’s Son” is an exciting, fast-paced novel about Caim, a killer-for-hire who is shoved into a world of political intrigue and forced to address his innate power over shadows when a job goes all wrong. At his side is Kit, a sassy, ethereal chick that only he can see and hear.

Caim is compelled by his conscious to rescue Josephine, the wealthy daughter of that botched job. Their adventures from Low Town to the very seat of power in Othir is non-stop action.

The fight scenes are concise and entertaining, both the “good” guys and villians are well-drawn, and Kit is a hoot…I can’t wait to “see” more of her in the sequel!

Jon’s debut novel is the first of a trilogy. This is a perfect summer read! 🙂

I know what you mean, J.M., and I thank you. Hope you enjoy the book.

And don’t forget to review Son on Amazon.

Woo-hooo! Goodness gracious, Jon, I’m happy for you and envy you all at once… but the happy part is about 98.9 percent of it; I tend to turn that little nugget of envy into a blossom of isnpiration.

I’ll have to go to my local bookstore and check it out! Can’t wait to read it!

    Thanks, guys!

Congratulations! I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!

….’though I’m now imagining it drooling on my other books whilst wailing through the night….

  8. Congratulations, Jon. I can’t wait to attend your first book signing.
Only a year between signing the contract and having a book on the shelf is pretty quick for this business.
